Local Guesthouse
Comfortable island guesthouses on real, living islands — clean rooms, warm hosts and local food. Included in our multi-day programs, and the way to feel the Maldives most travellers miss.
Your Resort
Staying at a resort? Keep it. We become your daily adventure partner — picking your group up for fishing, snorkelling or island days and returning you in time for dinner.
Island Camping
The wild option: tents, bedding and campfire cooking on an uninhabited island, fully equipped and looked after by our crew. Raw outside, comfortable inside.
Food & Meals
Three meals a day, taken care of
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included every day on multi-day programs, plus snacks and drinks out on the water or on excursion days. Meals are prepared fresh and suited to local custom, with vegetarian, allergy-aware and kids' menus available on request.

Getting to Komandoo
Three ways to reach us
Every package ships with a default transfer method suited to that trip. Prefer a different option? We can switch it, at your own additional cost — here's how each one works.
By Tide Explorer 38
Straight from the airport to Komandoo aboard our own 38ft Tide Explorer — no stops, about 5 hours door to door, with room for up to 6 guests and their luggage. This is the method used for packages built around offshore fishing, and the most direct option if you'd rather skip the ferry stops.
Public Speed Ferry
Scheduled ferry services, run by two private operators, calling at several islands en route — figure on 5–6 hours to reach Komandoo. The most budget-friendly option, with some limits on luggage.
Domestic Flight + Ferry
A roughly 50-minute domestic flight from Malé to Funadhoo Island (Shaviyani Atoll), followed by a public speed ferry on to Komandoo. The most expensive route once the ferry leg is added, and generally the most time-consuming overall — flight times need to line up with your international arrival and departure, and some items (fishing rods included) may be restricted on the domestic flight.

How It Works
One plan, everything included
On multi-day expeditions, accommodation, your transfer and all meals are part of the package — you land, and everything after that is handled. For day charters we plan around wherever you are staying, and can advise honestly on guesthouses and islands that suit your group if you have not booked yet.
Meals are prepared to local custom as standard, any dietary need is arranged in advance, and your transfer method is confirmed with your itinerary — just ask when you enquire.
